Where is Joondalup ?
Approximately 25 kilometres north of Perth 20 minutes by car or train.

Do Brooke-Stone have rental properties in places other than Joondalup?
No! We specialise only in Joondalup City North!

Is there a swimming pool at the house?
No, but there is a large aquatic fun park close by.

Is there a deposit to pay and how much?
Yes, a minimum of $100 (Australian Dollars) by cash or Australian travellers cheque or direct bank transfer, or through Western Union .

Are we close to the beach?
Yes, only ten minutes by car!

If arriving late at night – How do we get into the accommodation?
This is not a problem and arrangements will be made on an individual basis.

Are there laundry facilities nearby?
Each house is equipped with it’s own washing machine, clothes line and iron. Some houses also contain a clothes dryer. Dry-cleaning and ironing services are close by.

How do I get from the airport to Joondalup?
Taxis are available at the airport for approx $100. Cars can also be hired from the airport from companies such as Budget Rent-A-Car. Their website is www.budget.com.au. Take Reid Highway from the airport and follow the signs to Joondalup.

Do the houses or studios have a television set?
TV’s and video recorders can be hired through Brooke-stone from $10 per week.

We really want to experience an Aussie BBQ. Do the houses have BBQ facilities?
There are no BBQ’s in the houses but in some parks there are BBQ facilities where you can “throw a shrimp on the Barbie” whilst enjoying the natural beauty of the local flora and fauna.

I have heard Fremantle is very cosmopolitan. How far is Fremantle from Joondalup?
Fremantle is a wonderful cultural experience and is only 1 hour away from Joondalup. The excellent transport system will take you from Joondalup to the heart of Fremantle where you can relax and enjoy a coffee on the strip, wander through the colourful Fremantle Markets or watch the entertaining buskers on the street.

Will I need to rent a car in Joondalup? What is public transport like?
If you wish to hire a car to meet your travel needs, car rental is available from companies such as Budget. Their website is www.budget.com.au.

Joondalup is a fully self-contained city with delightful markets, tantalising restaurants and excellent shopping. The location of the accommodation is in the heart of the city and within walking distance of all these facilities.

Perth’s public transport system ischeap and reliable and you can reach most destinations within the Perth Metro area using the train and bus service. Trains run from 5am until 2am weekdays and longer on weekends. Coaches travel to places such as Albany and Margaret River and must be booked in advance. Tours are also available.

Can you arrange tickets to see the “Vienna Boy’s Choir”?
No. This is Australia, not Austria.

Can I ride a Kangaroo?
No. As these are wild animals this is not advisable.
