Whiteman Park
A 20 minute drive to this fabulous national park offers a fabulous day of relaxing under the shade of a gum tree, enjoy picnic tables, barbeques, open grassed areas to kick a football, little shops in the village, train rides and themed days.
If you want to explore some of Australia's famous wildlife, head to Caversham Wildlife Park (located in Whiteman Park) and feed the kangaroos, pat a koala, check out the Tasmanian Devil, have your photo taken with a wombat and marvel over the wonderful colours of the birds and cuddle some farm animals. This is a day of fun and entertainment.

There are many golf courses surrounding Joondalup - but none finer than 'Joondalup Country Club'. Voted as one of the best golf course in Australia in features.
Boasting 27 holes of beautifully manicured fairways and greens, set amongst lakes and quarries that will challenge the good golfer and make the beginner aware of why this course is so scenic.

Neil Hawkins Park
This splendid park borders the grasslands of Lake Joondalup beside the city centre.
Originally an Aboriginal hunting ground and now set in a state park, it provides refuge to a number of wild animals including kangaroos and birdlife.
Many tourists enjoy hand feeding the kangaroos and birds and taking photo's. Watch the ducks on the lake and see if you can see a turtle or two.
Enjoy a free gas bbq (we recommend putting alfoil over the hotplate then cooking on top of the alfoil) watch the sunset over the lake and let the kids play on the jungle gym equipment.

Hot Air Ballooning
One and a half hours driver from Perth is Northam Valley where, in summer, a number of Hot Air Balloon companies operate to cross the clear summer skies.
Departing at dawn, passengers help to set up the balloon, and then enjoy a 2 hour soundless drifting over rivers and farmland before returning for a magnificient champagne breakfast.

Arena Joondalup
Home to one of Perths Australian Football Teams the "Arena' also offers a huge range of activites;
For the sport enthusiasts the arena provides a number of options.
Do you want to get wet? Try the swimming pool, aerobics classes, leaisure pool, sauna, and water slide. If you prefer to be on solid ground the Arena offers gymnasium, aerobics, specialised cycle room, x-press training and more to help you get in shape and burn off energy.

Rottnest
Initially called "Rats Nest" for the strange looking creatures known as a "Quokka", this fabulous island has become a "must see" in Western Australia. With pristine beaches, fabulous options to go bike riding, swimming, native life, old fashioned shopping town, and the local pub - this place is great to visit.
Catch the Rottnest Ferry from Hillarys Boat Harbour and you can spend the day on this wonderful island.

Joondalup City has a restaurant area with some of the favourites being Trendi Cafe, Hogs Breath and Serrendipity African Restaurant. In Hillarys Marina a range of fantastic restaurants await your booking - Jetty's is great for sunday smorgasboard breakfast or enjoy a sophisticated meal at Portifino's Italian Restaurant - and Sharkys sells the best Fish and Chips.
